Come on CP!

One of my all time favorite designer's (London's own Carri Munden of CASSETTE PLAYA) has been commissioned by Nike Sportswear along with Amsterdam's Parra in order to "create a sports team" and do battle in the 2009 RIVALRY collection (to be released this holiday season).

While I've always respected Parra's work, I've gotta say that--my East London bias aside-- Carri has absolutely killed it again. Staying true to her more street-inspired collections of a couple of seasons ago this latest capsule collection for NSW is unreal.

For more details about the rivalry and the individual pieces from the collection hop over to Hypebeast and in order to help the superior team (CP's "The Chimeras") win... buy some of Carri's collection as it becomes available at finer Nike retailers.

Another Successful Streetfest

Stu Smith and the folks over at Lovenskate teamed up with local artists and some killer sponsors to bring another successful evening over at Streetfest in a converted car park in Shoreditch.

With skate competitions and exhibitions, streetwear and street art galore, free tea (as always) and great musical performances another excellent evening of entertainment has come and gone.

Crockstar Preview of the Preview

The super limited one-piece "preview of the preview" is officially printed and ready to go. I will be picking them up from Stu today, doing some invoicing and shipping them out mid-week! Pictures will obviously be available on the blog once I've got product in hand.

Crooked Tongues BBQ Reminder

Just a reminder that tomorrow the world famous sneaker site Crooked Tongues will be hosting one of their infamous parties (only happens every year or two). Should be Shoreditched out and all the sneakerheads and streetwear nerds should be out. Would be a hell of a place to come take photos if nothing else-- should definitely be a dope party so come by if you can!
